A lot of times when I'm talking to customers on the phone ask me why I do what I do. They can't imagine talking to people all day and just running quotes for insurance all day long. The reason that I do what I do is because I truly believe that I help people. I had a customer last week call me that was wondering how they were going to be able to afford their insurance. With their prior carrier they had just gotten their renewal and they were going to be paying $680 per month. They had been with their prior carrier for about 7 years and had taken those increases over the year and not taken the time to sop around.
After talking with them I discovered that we could take their son off their policy and his fiance which is what was killing their rate I was able to place the mom and dad with Travelers Insurance for about $87 a month on their auto insurance and about $15 a month on their renter's insurance. We split the son and fiance off onto his own policy and he's now paying about $300 for his own policy. Altogether I was able to cut that family's total insurance bill in half compared to what they were paying.
That's why I do what I do. I was able to drastically change that family's financial situation by consulting with them and getting the policies set up the way they should be. I love hearing the voice or seeing the face of a client light up when I tell them that I'm going to save them a significant amount of money on their monthly insurance expense.
